Monday Made It...Student Progress

I was inspired by another form (my amazing teammate made) I use in my classroom. I love the idea of having a form that shows students progress that you can keep for records but also give to parents.

Do you use anything like this in your classroom?

I posted it on my TPT store!!

Centers and Homework for next year...help :)

I can't believe how fast the year has gone!! Throughout the year there were areas I knew I wanted to change for next year. One of these is centers. This year I found free center icons that I laminated and put on the whiteboard. It worked fairly well but I felt like it looked messy as well as took up too much space on my board.

Also, what are some of the activities you have your students do during center time? For my First Graders, I used buckets and have one for writing, reading with a partner, and word work.

I posted several months ago on what I do for homework packets but am ready to change up my cover page layout. I would like to add the spelling the the front page instead of stapling a separate piece of paper to my packet.

Does anyone have any templates they would like to share?

If you have any suggestions or methods you have developed for centers please leave a comment below.

Thanks,

Dr. Seuss Matching Activity

Hey there,

I am so excited about this coming week. Both 1st Grade classes are celebrating Dr. Seuss all week with fun activities. Then, on Friday we are having yummy Dr. Seuss theme snacks and watching the Lorax (and it is pajama day).

Here is a cute activity I made to go with the book Oh The Places You'll Go.  Click on the picture to get a copy for your class.

Enjoy your week!!  I would love feedback :)!!

100th Day, Valentine's Day, and More

The last two weeks have been so fun and busy. We celebrated the 100th Day, last Wednesday!! Oh my goodness how fun!! The day was filled with activities. Some of these included fruit loop necklaces, if I were 100 years old writing, 100th day hats, and we all dressing up like we were 100 years old.

We also had our Valentine's Day Party!! On Thursday!! So fun!!

Each child made their own box.  They also made cards for their parents.

Lastly, we have been learning about fractions. My kids made these adorable Fraction-pillars (I found this idea on Pinterest...I did not come up with it). This is my example.

Merry Christmas and Handmade Christmas Thank you Cards

Merry Christmas!! Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday! With Christmas and my birthday so close together I always have a lot of thank you's to write. This year I have even more to write because I have such sweet students/families!!

This was my project today. I created these inserts for thank you cards to save me some writing. I have not posted them on TPT yet. Let me know what you think and if you would use these.

Keeping Desks Clean...

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions how to encourage tidy desks? I teach little ones and am looking for new ways to encourage organization.

Thanks,
