Groundhog Day Activity

I made this little activity last night and thought I would share.
Students would cut out the shapes from the pre-made worksheet and assemble their own Groundhog. Then students will write about their prediction. The groundhog would be attached to the students writing. This activity is done ofcourse after a discussion about the holiday. A list of key words are posted that can be used during writing.

Let me know what you think.

Here is a Valentine's Day Activity I made.  Students cut out the heart and glue it on construction paper. Students could also add their own art.

Also, how do you organize your lesson plans? Link up and spread the word !

Lesson Plan Template Inspired by Abby!!

I have seen numerous lesson plan templates and decided to make my own.  After several days of playing with Word I still couldn't make a template I really liked.  I decided to search blog-land and found Abby's @ The Inspired Apple. She has a wonderful free template but  I don't have a teacher pay teachers account  so I made my own version (based off hers) Thanks Abby!!  I still am working on it so this is the rough draft... :) Let me know what you think!!

Made My Day!

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to sub for First Grade!! Can I just say how much I love this grade!! It not only brought back so many wonderful memories from ST but made me realize how much I love teaching. At this age they want to learn anything and everything.  I love how they always have little stories to share that relate to what is being discussed.

Throughout they day I received countless hugs :). About half way through the day one of the little girls came and  gave me a big hug and said "I love it when you are our sub !"  With the excitement to learn and all day hugs, it was definitely one of those days I didn't want to end.   It makes me beyond excited to have a class of my own (hopefully very soon).
