Calling All Kinder Teachers

I have a possible tutoring position starting soon. What are some activities to do with an inquisitive four year old going into kinder this fall. Do you know of any sites with great activities or printables that would help prepare the child for K.

Thanks

Beginning Measurement

Here is a worksheet I made to teach beginning measurement.  The students use unifix cubes to measure objects in the classroom. I have used it in the passed and the students loved it (1st & 2nd grade).

Valentine's Day! What did you do with you student?

What did you do for Valentine's Day (in your classrooms)? I subbed yesterday and the students decorated their Valentine's Day bags.  They were so proud of their creations.

Volunteers in the Classroom-Ideas Anyone?

When thinking about my future classroom I can't wait to involve volunteers. During Student Teaching  I had the opportunity to see how wonderful volunteers can be !! My master teacher had a parent that would come in weekly and help with anything that needed to be done (i.e. cutting, hanging things, reading with students, etc.).  This particular parent was also very crafty and creative.

Here is the form that I made for my parent volunteers:
This is another idea that I saw on Pinterest that I like:

A Parent Corner:

How do you involve parents?  How do you manage/organize volunteers?

Please share your ideas and spread the word!!
